All sun protection, however, is not created equal. Sun protection is a function of two things, the actual weave of the fabric and a fabric treatment that is applied as the garment is being made. The fabrics we use for Fish Monkey gloves feature a much finer weave that better blocks the sun. Yes, this fabric is a bit more expensive but the sun protection is significantly better and well worth the additional cost, especially when one considers that the treatments that others rely on for much of the sun protection in their garments, wears off, especially with washing. Still, we do treat our gloves anyway figuring this treatment can only help. More like a second skin than a glove. Not only sun protection, but offers protection from hooks and sharp fins. Less hand fatigue with the extra gripping pattern!
Why did I wait so long?? I’ve been beating up my hands for years chasing slab size crappies. These gloves are easy on and off, dry super fast and these gloves makes grabbing those super sized crappies easy and no longer shreds my hands. 🎣

The first time I used the FM gloves was on a 3 day bass fishing tournament on Lake Havasu in Az. It averaged 105 degrees. They were comfortable, effective and protective. I couldn’t have been more satisfied with em !!!
Great gloves for sun protection. They dry fast and keep your hands from getting beat up from fish and hooks.
Do a good job on sun protection but the reinforcements in the palm and fingure cut into your hand and get very irritating on a long day. I will be looking for a different solution
I love these gloves. I use the more wrist coverage pair. I use them yo fish , hunt and work. The padding on the palm gives you great grip. I wish there was a tougher version for work. They could call it Work Monkey 🐒. The seems could be more durable for tough work but my fishing pair is durable enough.

Fish monkey stands behind their products. The half-finger gloves are perfect for kayak fishermen who need sun protection and improved grip. I had an issue where the threads came lose or broke between my fingers and Fish monkey was very responsive to resolve the issue. Its rare to find a company that is willing to stand behind their products. I will buy more fish/hunt monkey gear!
